3) How to submit a tattoo

 

 

1) During Gdańsk Tattoo Convention 2011 tattoo competition will be held. The best tattoo will be selected from each of the following categories:

 

  • Best small black and grey tattoo
  • Best big black and small tattoo
  • Best small color tattoo
  • Best big color tattoo
  • Best traditional tattoo
  • Best tattoo - female composition
  • Best original tattoo
  • Best tattoo with a subject matter connected to the sea
  • Best tattoo of the first day of the Convention
  • Best tattoo of the second day of the Convention

 

 

2) Competition details/ description of each category:

 

Best small black and grey tattoo

 

Tattoos submitted in this category:

  • must not be bigger than 29.7 cm X 21 cm (these measurements may be exceeded by maximum of 3 cm);
  • tattoos must be for the most part black and/or grey;
  • usage of white and two other colors is permitted in small quantities.

 

 

 

Best big black and small tattoo

 

Tattoos submitted in this category:

  • must be bigger than 29.7 cm X 21 cm;
  • tattoos must be for the most part black and/or grey;
  • usage of white and two other colors is permitted in small quantities.

 

 

 

Best small color tattoo

 

Tattoos submitted in this category:

  • must not be bigger than 29.7 cm X 21 cm (these measurements may be exceeded by maximum of 3 cm);
  • tattoos must be of many colors.

 

 

 


Best big color tattoo

 

Tattoos submitted in this category:

  • must be bigger than 29.7 cm X 21 cm;
  • tattoos must be of many colors.

 

 

 

Best traditional tattoo

 

In this category any tattoo can be submitted that was clearly inspired by old school, also with elements of new school etc.

 

 

 

Best tattoo - female composition

 

In this category the most important thing is that the tattoo complements the female form, has a definite feminine style, adds up to the beauty and character of the model and of course is well-drawn.

 

 

 

Best tattoo thematically based on the sea

 

Tattoos submitted in this category of the competition must be thematically based on the sea or have to have elements connected to this theme.

 

 

 

Best tattoo of the first day of the Convention

 

Tattoos submitted in this category:

  • must be drawn during the first day of the Convention;
  • tattoos that were only finished or renewed during the Convention will not be accepted.

 

 

 

Best tattoo of the second day of the Convention

 

Tattoos submitted in this category:

  • must be drawn during the second day of the Convention;
  • tattoos that were only finished or renewed during the Convention will not be accepted.

 

 

 

3) How to submit your work:

 

  • 1 tattoo = 1 category

 

  • Tattoos must be submitted in the information point, at the latest 30 minutes before the start of the competition (please submit your tattoo as soon as possible)

 

  • When submitting a tattoo the name of the model, tattoo artist and tattoo studio must be handed in as well.

 

  • Judges will not have access to the names of the tattoo studios or tattoo artists.

 

  • After submitting a tattoo, the model will get a colored ticket that will indicate the category and the order in which he/she will be asked to present the tattoo.

 

  • All decisions concerning the tattoos submitted to the competition are made solely by the judging panel.
